Read Me First

Let’s face it…

You won’t see all of London in 3-4 days, and that’s okay! Limit yourself to a couple things you definitely want to do, and go from there.

The city is huge – plan your day based roughly on location, so find where you want to go and then look for the things around it that you want to do at the same time. And double check your route, sometimes being far away can still be faster than being close.

Transportation

Don’t be afraid of the Tube and buses! Both use contactless payments, so you can use Apple Wallet or contactless credit cards to “tap in”. This is a great explainer video. Ubers and black cabs are of course easier but rarely the fastest option.

For figuring out your route, Google Maps is great! This is a great explainer blog on how to read Google Maps to navigate around London.

Don’t be afraid to ask people as well! Most people will be really helpful, particularly if you find Transport for London (TFL) staff at stations.

Wifi around the city

Lots of places in London offer free wifi. You typically have to register using your name and email address. Sometimes, it might require a post code. Use any post code, which are the last letter/number combinations for any address. Or you can use ours: TW15 2LB.

What’s worth it (and what’s not)

It goes without saying that this is just my opinion. If you really want to do something, do it!!! I’m sure it’ll be a blast!

Worth it

  • Afternoon tea. Tip: Read about it here.

  • Sunday roast. Tip: Read about it here.

  • Tower of London. Tip: Free walking tour every 15 minutes!

  • Borough Market. Tip: Try to go before noon to avoid the crowds (or just accept your fate and enjoy anyway!).

Not worth it
